  - New snake -

I know, I know...... but I needed a male since I have a female...... and he was just too pretty to pass up........ only a couple more snakes and I'll be satisfied. Or maybe not, I may just keep getting more. Oh yeah it's another Blood python by the way, so that makes 5 snakes total. That's not even that many, I should have at least 3 or 4 more. Anyways....... yeah. -goob-

  - God Bless the Violent Femmes...... -

For simply being one of the greatest bands ever. I saw them tonight and it was an amazing show. It was outdoors in an alley called "Gano Alley", (the singer is Gordon Gano), and there was about 2,000 people there That was pretty cool. I was worried they might have lost their touch in their old age but it was awesome. I really liked the second band too, Moth, although I've never heard of them before tonight. I guess they're a local band, but they were great also. I think Mike may have had a little more fun than I did, making out with a 29 year old girl who was quite attractive, but it was such a good show I didn't mind having to watch him dancing and looking stupid with her. He he... Anyways.... it was a good time. I needing some cheering up. I didn't get into UNCW, so it looks like I'm staying in Ohio, at least for now. I'll see if they decide to let me in next semester, but I doubt that will happen. Time for some TV and then off to bed. Sincerely, -goob-

  - This Week in Goob -

This week has definitely been an improvement on the last two. I got my finals out of the way Monday and Tuesday, both were pretty easy, so school's done. Not that I had a big load anyway (2 classes, whoo hoo) but it's still nice to not have to worry about it. Final grade for Biology is a 93, which I'm pretty happy with. Coulda been a little higher, but when all is said and done an A is an A. Don't know about English yet. Depends how I did on the final, as my papers were right on the edge of A and B.

So Mr. Earl is worried about me actualizing the future. Well if it'll help put your mind at ease I definitely am. Here's something he wrote about himself (and yes the typos are his) "i havent smoked oin 2 days im actualizing the future and it makes this withdrawal a tangible aspect of my future." Remember that I went from not being able to function till I've had 1/2 a bottle of vodka to being 10 months sober (and counting). I'd say that's a big step in actualizing my future, in fact working towards giving myself a better future is a key part of my sobriety. If I was going to fuck around and not take my life seriously after what I've been through, then I may as well have just kept drinking and died. This isn't the first time in my life that I've had goals, but maybe the first time that I've actually been excited about them because now I can see myself reaching them. So yes, I am working to actualize my future. And I would really love to get a decision from UNCW soon because I'd really like to know what my options are at this point. Anyways.... I won't go too much into this right now. Maybe some other time.

In other news.... the Reds game was great Wednesday night. Wily Mo can kick some ass when he wants to. They should make it his bobble-head night every night. He he...

My Borneo short-tailed python has a name finally. His name is Richard Parker. If you want to know why, then you'll have to look it up yourself. Now I need one for the Blood.....

I really need to get my A/C fixed in my car. I can't drive anywhere without being soaked in sweat by the time I get there. It wasn't bad before, but when it's 95 and humid outside, it gets a little bit warm in my car. It better not cost much to fix it, I hate having to spend money on my car.

I just have to add how much I love Alkaline Trio. Now that the new albums out I finally learned all the lyrics I couldn't figure out. And I just can't stop listening to it even though I've had a copy for almost two months. Something about the lyrics, and the way they go with the music, it's just great stuff.

Got some rats in the mail the other day. Much more nutritious than those puny little mice (for the snakes, not me). So my snakes should grow up to be big and strong and then I'm going to make them eat babies.... especially if Karen dumps the kids with me (inside joke).

Ok nuff said. Goodnight. -goob-

  - Substituting Caffeine for Alcohol -

It's been sort of a crappy week. My English teacher decided to give us the last two weeks of class to work on revising our papers, so we didn't have to go to class unless we had something for him to look at. Which of course meant that I slept in every day instead of going to class. And it's hard as hell to get myself to drive all the way down to UC to sit through a Biology class when the notes are online. So I didn't go to class much, and Dominos has been open later now with summer hours, so I've been getting home from work at like 2 or 3 in the morning. Combine all that with drinking entirely way too much caffeine, and you get a Goob that doesn't get to sleep until about 7 in the morning, then tries to get up at noon but ends up sleeping till 3. And today I had to get up at 11 to go sail with my Dad in the Snipe regatta. Which actually turned out to be fun. I haven't sailed in a couple years, I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I also forgot how much work it is, or else I'm just horribly out of shape, cause I'm a little stiff. It's not as easy as you would think. Anyways... I'm going to try and sail more this summer, I have my own boat I've only sailed a couple times. May as well sail it or it'll just sit around taking up space.

Finals Mon. & Tues...... then I'm done with my first quarter back in school in over 4 years.

My little sister Lisa is back from Scotland and will be here all summer until school starts again. Which means I have to occasionally kick her off the computer if I ever want to use it. It would be nice if we had one of the other computers online so we could both use one. Sarah should have gotten back from Wales today, but I haven't talked to her yet.

Oh yeah Dominos asked me to be a manager. HA. I knew it would probably happen eventually. There's a reason I got out of management at Pizza Hut. It's not worth it. Even the assistant manager was telling me she wished she never agreed to start taking shifts, and I shouldn't do it. I like being an unimportant delivery boy. Hell I make more money than I would as a manager anyway.

Well that's all the news around here. Don't forget to spay and neuter your pets. -goob-
