- This Week in Goob -This week has definitely been an improvement on the last two. I got my finals out of the way Monday and Tuesday, both were pretty easy, so school's done. Not that I had a big load anyway (2 classes, whoo hoo) but it's still nice to not have to worry about it. Final grade for Biology is a 93, which I'm pretty happy with. Coulda been a little higher, but when all is said and done an A is an A. Don't know about English yet. Depends how I did on the final, as my papers were right on the edge of A and B.
So Mr. Earl is worried about me actualizing the future. Well if it'll help put your mind at ease I definitely am. Here's something he wrote about himself (and yes the typos are his) "i havent smoked oin 2 days im actualizing the future and it makes this withdrawal a tangible aspect of my future." Remember that I went from not being able to function till I've had 1/2 a bottle of vodka to being 10 months sober (and counting). I'd say that's a big step in actualizing my future, in fact working towards giving myself a better future is a key part of my sobriety. If I was going to fuck around and not take my life seriously after what I've been through, then I may as well have just kept drinking and died. This isn't the first time in my life that I've had goals, but maybe the first time that I've actually been excited about them because now I can see myself reaching them. So yes, I am working to actualize my future. And I would really love to get a decision from UNCW soon because I'd really like to know what my options are at this point. Anyways.... I won't go too much into this right now. Maybe some other time.
In other news.... the Reds game was great Wednesday night. Wily Mo can kick some ass when he wants to. They should make it his bobble-head night every night. He he...
My Borneo short-tailed python has a name finally. His name is Richard Parker. If you want to know why, then you'll have to look it up yourself. Now I need one for the Blood.....
I really need to get my A/C fixed in my car. I can't drive anywhere without being soaked in sweat by the time I get there. It wasn't bad before, but when it's 95 and humid outside, it gets a little bit warm in my car. It better not cost much to fix it, I hate having to spend money on my car.
I just have to add how much I love Alkaline Trio. Now that the new albums out I finally learned all the lyrics I couldn't figure out. And I just can't stop listening to it even though I've had a copy for almost two months. Something about the lyrics, and the way they go with the music, it's just great stuff.
Got some rats in the mail the other day. Much more nutritious than those puny little mice (for the snakes, not me). So my snakes should grow up to be big and strong and then I'm going to make them eat babies.... especially if Karen dumps the kids with me (inside joke).
