  - New Blog -

I finally decided that my Evolution Blog was a dumb idea, since I never post anything on it. So in it's place I made a Blog for updates and pictures of my snakes. I thought it would be cool to have a place where people can see their progress as they grow and stuff, and then once I start breeding them I'll have all the info and stuff up there. Check it out Here

  - Soooo.... -

So Abs has gone back to merry old England, and it's back to being just me and Smelly again..... so I guess this is kind of the real start of my normal summer break. First thing on the list of things to do.... get a job. I managed to save just enough money to pay my upcoming bills, so I have to work enough to keep myself fed and make enough to pay the bills the rest of the summer... should be fun. Maybe I'll get lucky and meet some cool people wherever I end up working.

I guess I'll be coming home to Cincy this weekend for 4th of July weekend... so for any of my friends in Cincinnati who may be reading this, maybe I'll see you then........

  - Update.... -

So you may be wondering what Abs and I have been up to.... we've pretty much been going around Columbus seeing all the interesting things there are to see... It's been fun, like a vacation in the city I live in, yet haven't really seen much of. I've seen more of Columbus since she's been here than I have in all the time I've lived here. We've been to the Zoo, the Conservatory, hung out at a local park a few times, seen some local caverns that were inhabited by Indians, and stuff like that. We went down to see the Campus and High Street, and Abs got a tattoo that she had been wanting to get and had a nice chat with the tattooist... When we were in Cincy we went down to the Museum Center, which I haven't been to in years, and saw an Omnimax film, and we had a little adventure down in the creek and found some snakes and frogs and stuff... I've also probably learned as much about Ohio history and geology than I have in school, so it's been very interesting, and it's nice having someone who's interested in doing all the stuff that I would like to do but never get around to doing.

All this traveling around Columbus equates to lots and lots of driving though, so I'm quite happy I got my car fixed up before she got here. It's got a muffler again, and some new tires, and feels like a completely different car... It also equates to lots of walking, and I think I'm going to have to start wearing some better shoes, because my feet aren't holding up too well wearing my chucks on a long day...

Anyways.... that's all for now, you can check out some fun pictures on my Flickr page, and I'll have another update in a few days. Have fun everyone....

  - Q. How bad did Goob do this quarter? -

A. Not as bad as he thought he did. Official grades are: B in Latin - C in Chem - C+ in Maths. Definitely not as good as the last two quarters, but better than I was expecting considering the effort I put into this quarter.... That leaves me with a cumulative GPA of 3.08..... as long as that stays over 3 then I'm happy, and hopefully next quarter I can get it back up a bit

  - The British are coming! The British are coming! -

How many lanterns do I hang if they're coming by air? Just kidding... but as you all know, Abs will be arriving tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited. I'm sure we'll get along just fine and it'll be fun, but other than that, who knows....

I feel bad for her though, she has to leave at like 2 am her time, and won't get here until about 5 pm Ohio time... that's a long trip just to see boring old me....

Well it looks like we'll be coming to Cincy next weekend, so you all can get a chance to meet her if you want to... until then, have a nice week everyone.

  - One more thing -

I was thinking about changing the look of my Blog again... but I don't know if it's worth the time and effort. So what do you think? Is it good the way it is or do you think I should make things a little more interesting? All suggestions/comments are welcome.....

  - Ahhhhh..... -

Tomorrow I'm going to wake up, take a shower and get dressed, and go down to school to take my Chemistry final. Then this horrible quarter will be over, and I can forget it ever happened and get ready for the arrival of my visitor... Of course tonight I have plenty of reading to do to try and get a decent grade on the final, but knowing that it'll be over soon makes it bearable.

My parents were kind enough to point out the other day that in all my ventures to various colleges, this is the first time I've actually finished a full year... maybe that's why I was so burnt out with the whole thing this quarter. I've haven't been in school for more than six months at a time since I guess my sophomore year of high school. But I suppose getting through the whole year with plans to continue again in the fall is a good sign compared with my previous track record with school.

Anyways... just thought I would throw something up here for the hell of it. Time to go back to pretending to study...

  - Barstard Umbrellas -

I don't own or carry an umbrella, which I have mentioned before. I hate them, and the barstards that carry them. They walk along a four foot wide sidewalk, carrying a six foot wide umbrella with metal points around the edge right at eye level. And then they walk really damn slow so that it's impossible to pass them without either going into the street and stepping in a huge puddle or most likely getting stabbed in the eye by the pointy bits on their umbrella... And if you're walking in the opposite direction and try to walk past them they don't even care that their umbrella is about to stab you in the eye, they'll just keep walking right at you and you have to jump out of the way into the grass or street.... assholes.... if I'm ever in charge of the world one of the first things I'm doing is outlawing umbrellas so the fuckers get all wet and then I'll laugh hysterically at them as they cry about their hair getting messed up....

On the lighter side of things, my Lemon tree has started growing again for whatever reason. Maybe it just prefers the heat and sun or something, because for the longest time it didn't grow even the slightest bit, and the parts of the branches where the new growth comes from looked like they were dead.... so I had given up on it and just threw it outside to either die or just live as a midget tree. But the other day I looked at it when I was out there and it's started growing again, and there's a bunch of new little leaves starting to show up. So that's kinda cool, maybe it'll end up being a real tree someday after all. And I still got some little seedlings growing that looks like a mix of apple trees and maple trees, but I guess I'll have to wait until they grow a little more till I know which is which....

  - They up and done it... -

It took them seven games to do it, but the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Buffalo Sabres. Which means that now they're off to the Stanley Cup finals to play the Edmonton Oilers. Too bad I don't still live down in North Carolina. Not that I could afford to go to a game in the finals anyway, the tickets are probably ungodly expensive.... but I can still watch the games on the telly and root for the 'Canes.

Well tomorrow I just have to go down to Latin class and turn in my report from the last Chem lab, and class is over and I just have to take a couple finals next week. Which means I'll have lots of reading to do, but at least I don't have to get up early to study.....

A place for me to talk about all the fascinating things going on in my boring world. Read it and like it, or go to Hell.
