- Smelly's Third Home..... -
Well I'm back up in Columbus. All the snakes are alive and seem well, and Smelly made the trip like a very good kitty. She was crying the whole way in the car and I felt bad, but she's ok. When we first got here she seemed a little confused, and was walking around checking everything out and rubbing on all the furniture. I tried to pick her up to show her where her litterbox was and she got real pissed and tried to bite me. But after she was done exploring she settled down, and now she's being super affectionate and cuddly. Anyways... this is her right after she got out of the carrier.........

- Christmastime Stories -
Well well well, Christmas time is over again. I have to say I made out pretty well in the present department this year, I got lots of fun stuff. Well maybe not exactly fun, but stuff I like anyway. I was hoping for some books, in particular the newest Harry Potter and a book by Richard Leakey, and I got both of them, along with the first Harry Potter and two other books by Stephen Jay Gould, an evolutionary biologist. So I have lots of fun stuff to read. I won't go on and list everything else, but one thing I have to mention since I'm using it right now, is a wireless router for my computer I bought with a gift card from my aunt. I'm still at my parents house, but I set it up here to see if it worked, so now I'm down in the basement using the internet. It's pretty neat. Anyway, it'll be nice at the apartment since I don't really have a computer desk. I was just sitting at the counter on a stool using it which wasn't all that comfortable. So now I can just hang out and sit on the couch while I'm using it.
I'm waiting for a call from my friend Bonnie, who should be getting into town soon, and once I get a chance to see her, I'll be heading back up to Columbus. I have to make sure the snakes are ok. I'm just worried that one of them may have spilled their water dish and won't have anything to drink for a couple days. Or for some reason the heat tape failed and they're sitting there really cold... which is bad..... but I'm sure they're fine, enjoying some time alone without me dragging them out and making them hang out with me. Smelly will be coming back with me this time, which I'm sure I've mentioned, so that should be fun. My bed has seemed so empty without a giant overweight half-panther taking up all the room.
Well I just thought I would check in with some news, and now I'm going to go try and finish The Half Blood Prince tonight. More stories later... school starts soon. i posted this at 11:58 PM --- 3 people care enough to comment

Well all my shit is packed up and in the trailer....... so I'm ready to go. Leaving tomorrow morning, but I'll be back this weekend to watch the game and get my snakes. The Cable guy isn't coming until Monday, but I'll have pictures of the new place and all that fun stuff up here then. I'm going to miss Smelly. I not taking her up there until after Christmas, since I'm going to be home for a few days then anyway. I don't want to take her up there and then have to bring her back again. She's not a big fan of traveling. Well until Monday..... everybody have fun and I'll see you later. Word. -chris-

Two exams down..... four and a half hours to kill till the next one....... and nothing to do except a little studying. So far so good as far as exams go, even though I haven't gotten grades back on the ones I've taken I'm pretty sure I did alright. Got really good grades on all my papers though, which is good, and I'll probably end up with an A in Bio Lab which I wasn't expecting. But enough about school.....
It's almost time to move. One more week. I started packing up all my stuff, so my basement is full of a bunch of boxes, and my room is getting emptier. But I'm ready to go... I'm excited about having my own place again, and this time it's all mine, none of that living with other people crap. It should be fun. I wish I wasn't moving in the middle of winter though, I'd like to be able to go outside and do stuff........ I don't want to smoke in the apartment because of the pets, but it's so damn cold I probably will eventually. I don't want poor little Smelly getting lung cancer because I'm stupid. I'm thinking that I'm probably going to be home pretty much every weekend for a while, I don't know if they get the Bengals games on TV up there. So far this season I haven't missed a game, but if I don't find someone to work for me Sunday I may miss it this week. Stupid me, telling my boss I can work anything for my last few days.... I should have known she would schedule me to work Sunday morning.
I found out last night that you can download TV shows on iTunes, which no one bothered to tell me. You can get all the episodes of Lost, and I think I may start getting all the second season. I downloaded the first episode from the second season last night, to see how the quality was, and it was pretty good. My dad said it would be crappy quality and I had to prove him wrong.... he he he.... Anyways... it may be worth the $1.99 per episode to get it without all the commercials you get if you watch it on TV. You can call me a nerd if you want, but it's a damn good show. Nina can back me up on that.....
Shit, it's only 9 o'clock still. My Biology exam isn't until 1:30. I'm going to need some soda if I'm going to stay awake here that long. I couldn't sleep last night so I just stayed up.
16 months today..... I sort of stopped keeping track of the months after the first year, but occasionally I'll remember. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it's been that long, sometimes it seems like it's been forever.
What else is going on in the boring world of goob? Sadly not much else. I'm extremely happy to be done with Biology lab, I don't know if I mentioned that or not. I'm not much of a fan of working in groups with random people, because most of them are complete idiots. Greg Graffin once said that 80% of the population is complete idiots, and I think that's about right. Anyways... I always get stuck in a group with retarded girls who talk about nothing other than food and Oprah. Man I hated sitting in that class for 3 hours at a time every Thursday. But it's all good I guess, we gave our presentation and got a good grade, even though we just made up our results for the experiment. (Actually our experiment failed miserably, so it worked out much better just making up results, but don't tell the lab instructor that).
If there's one thing I like about sitting here in the library it's these computer chairs.... they're pretty fun. They're very springy when you lean back so you can kind of bounce back and forth.
