- I guess it's finally getting into winter... -First snow of the season. I have mixed feelings about snow.... Sometimes it can be really pretty, but it's also a pain in the ass and gets your feet all wet and everything. I suppose if it's going to be this cold we might as well get some snow so it seems like winter and I don't feel so bad about sitting around the house doing nothing. photo (c) goobi posted this at 2:55 PM ---

Snow, eh? That does look really pretty. We rarely get it, but its good when we do 'cos the entire country comes to a standstill and we all get to stay at home, hahahahah -grin-
Not in Ohio.... I'll have to drive to school, deliver pizzas, and all that in like 2 feet of snow. They're usually good about keeping the main roads clear, but if we get a lot you end up having to drive in snow, which is fun, but scary and dangerous. Luckily the car I have now is much better in snow than my last one.
my truck is for sucks in snow, wait, for that matter, it is for sucks in all types of weather... stayed home today did ya? well just as well, cause the roads were horrible not only because of the slickness but because of the holiday traffic... took me an hour and half to get to and from school today... now I get to turn around a deliver for the next couple hours in this shit... by the way, in geology, the video we watched was all about the discovery of crater impacts and the K/T boundary... If you don't know what that is, I can divulge and tell you all about it...
Roads...clear? You mean they actually remove the snow from the roads? Wow. I'll keep quiet about that one; if our Government gets to hear about it, it might get similar ideas and then we'll never get any skive time...thank God I live in an isolated valley. The roads - sorry, make that "road" doesn't even get salted out my way, let alone have the snow removed -grin-
They don't have snowplows over there? Hmmm.... yeah they have trucks with basically a big snow shovel on the front, and as they drive around it pushes all the snow off the road and spreads salt out the back end. I've known people who live in parts of the country where they don't get much snow, so the cities don't have a big snowplow fleet. If they get a big snow storm they pretty much get off of school for like 2 weeks at a time because they have no way to get rid of the snow. That must be nice. We've got about a bazillion snowplows around here though...
I don't think the snow ever gets bad enough for them to warrant such a machine over here, TBH. Shame you have so many. If there were fewer maybe you could think up a plan to sabotage them for some time off...
